A Lifelong Passion for Protecting Stray Paws
Our Story, Mission, and Values
Global Paws Rescue was born from a deep commitment to safeguard stray cats and dogs from suffering and disease. We operate under the registered charity Save Our Stray Dogs, guided by the belief that every stray animal deserves protection, love, and a future free from pain.
This mission became deeply personal when I travelled to India with my 13‑year‑old daughter to lay my husband’s ashes to rest. In the midst of grief, I found a new purpose. As we walked through the streets, we saw countless stray dogs — gentle, hungry, vulnerable. The local community often offered food, but medically these animals were not cared for. They suffered from untreated wounds, repeated pregnancies, and the harsh reality of life without protection.
In that moment, I knew what I needed to do. Global Paws Rescue became my way of transforming loss into compassion, and grief into action.
Our goal is simple and powerful: to neuter and spay stray dogs so they produce fewer litters, suffer less, and live safer, healthier lives. We champion the ‘notch ear’ as a universal symbol of sterility, safety, and rabies protection — a mark recognised by communities worldwide.
As an independent charity shop, we rely on financial support to continue this vital work. Every donation, purchase, and act of kindness helps us protect vulnerable animals and prevent the cycle of suffering for future generations.
🐾 Our Village Dog Protection & Sterilisation Project
Stray dogs in villages of India are often harmed because people feel they have no other solution. We are changing this through humane sterilisation, education, and community care.
We neuter and spay village dogs, provide safe aftercare, and release them back to their own territories once healed. A local dog carer will monitor them daily to ensure they remain safe and protected.
We have an abandoned family land in the village which will be used for aftercare and safe release back to their territories, and a dedicated dog carer will keep an eye on the dogs to ensure they are safe.

This is one of the poisoned dogs from our village. His suffering is heartbreaking and shows exactly why our sterilisation and protection project is so urgently needed.
Restore Village Land
This project will cost us £10,000 to sterilise and protect 200 village dogs, providing safe aftercare and long‑term monitoring.
